A new railway station named "Choshtepa" has officially commenced operations in Tashkent, aiming to bridge suburban electric trains with the city's metro system and bus networks. The facility allows passengers traveling toward Sirdaryo, Gulistan, Khavast, and Bekabad to transfer to commuter trains without having to commute to the South Railway Station.

The station was put into service as part of ongoing measures to modernize and develop passenger transportation across local railway routes. According to the authorities, the project is designed to simplify multimodal transfers and provide capital and regional residents with alternative commuting options.

The integration of rail and urban transit systems is purportedly intended to reduce transfer times and enhance overall travel convenience. The opening of the station stems from a presidential decree aimed at increasing passenger traffic on domestic railway routes through the year 2030.

In a related development, authorities announced that starting November 15, a new suburban bus route No. 194 will begin operating from the South Railway Station in Tashkent, connecting the capital to the "Niyozboshi" mahalla in the Tashkent region.
