In July 2026, central banks around the world purchased a total of 23 tons of gold, according to Podrobno.uz.
The largest buyers of the precious metal were China, which acquired 20 tons, and Poland, which increased its reserves by 8 tons. At the same time, a number of countries acted as sellers.
Specifically, Russia sold 6 tons of gold during the month. The sellers also included the Central Bank of Uzbekistan, as well as regulators from Turkey and Jordan, each selling 1 ton.
Since the beginning of the year, net gold purchases by global regulators have amounted to about 130 tons. For comparison, in the same period of 2025, this figure was at approximately 160 tons.
