Foreign media, including Reuters and Times of Israel, citing an unnamed Israeli source, report that Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei has been killed and his body found. This information has not been officially confirmed yet.

Previously, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated there were "growing signs" of Khamenei's death. Khamenei was reported to be a primary target in yesterday's Israeli strikes, though later media indicated he was commanding operations from a war room.

The Iranian Red Crescent Society reported 201 deaths and 747 injuries from today's attacks. Israel declared these strikes as the largest aerial operation in IAF history.

The 86-year-old Ali Khamenei has led Iran since 1989. Reuters notes he built a regional force rivaling Sunni Gulf states while developing nuclear technology. In June 2025, Israeli and U.S. strikes destroyed key nuclear facilities.
