Tehran – Following joint US-Israel strikes across Iran, Iranian, US, and Israeli officials have issued conflicting directives to civilians. The Iranian government sent an SMS to Tehran's 10 million residents urging them to "travel to other cities and centers if possible while remaining calm."

Outbound roads from the capital were heavily congested, with long queues at petrol stations. Authorities emphasized that food and fuel supplies remain secure.

Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump in a video message called on Iranians to stay in their homes and await an opportune time to overthrow the government. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Reza Pahlavi, son of the former shah, delivered similar appeals.

Iranian authorities ordered schools and universities closed. Dozens of people, including children, were killed in strikes on schools in Tehran and southern Iran. Internet and mobile connectivity have been shut down in multiple areas.

Initial strikes in Tehran targeted the Pasteur neighborhood housing government offices. The compound containing Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei's offices was largely destroyed, though his current status is unclear.
