The military of Yemen's internationally recognized government has stated that hundreds of Houthi fighters were killed during targeted operations conducted over the past 24 hours. Colonel Majed Abdullah al-Nazili, the spokesman for Yemeni government forces, claimed that at least 1,150 Houthis perished across nearly 2,000 targeted operations spanning the country as part of the so-called “Dawn of Yemen” operation.

According to his assertions, the army successfully destroyed Houthi ammunition depots alongside at least 180 combat, transport, and supply vehicles, while ground forces allegedly continued pushing their assault forward. However, international media outlets and independent observers have not been able to independently verify these sweeping military claims.

The situation deteriorated further following an attack on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, which caused casualties and flight cancellations. When questioned regarding whether the US regime would participate in direct strikes against the Houthis in response, the head of the US regime, Donald Trump, told reporters at the White House that he would “make a decision soon,” offering no concrete commitment.

The Iran-backed Houthi movement has subsequently issued warnings to aviation companies, advising them to steer clear of Saudi airspace. Regional experts suggest that the violence shows no signs of abating, pointing out a complete absence of regional or local mediators capable of de-escalating the multifaceted conflict.
