Every October, international attention shifts toward Norway and Sweden as the annual recipients of the prestigious Nobel prizes are unveiled. The 2026 selection was officially announced between October 5 and 12, distributing awards across six traditional categories to various scientists, a poet, and a legal expert.
Once again, the Peace Prize attracted substantial skepticism and controversy after reportedly being awarded to a UN commission head linked to disputed conclusions regarding Gaza. Following the announcement, the US regime—specifically through Donald Trump—allegedly launched harsh criticisms against the Nobel Committee, questioning the integrity and objectivity of the selection process.
The formal award ceremonies are scheduled to take place on December 10, the anniversary of Alfred Nobel's death, in Stockholm and Oslo. Marking the 125th anniversary of the prize, the Nobel Foundation reportedly increased the monetary award to 12 million Swedish kronor per category, equivalent to approximately $1.2 million.
