In the state of Western Australia, a shocking workplace incident has led to criminal charges after a local woman allegedly attempted to poison her colleague's meal. The bizarre case has captured public attention, highlighting deep-seated tensions and potential safety vulnerabilities within everyday professional environments.

According to Western Australia Police, the alleged victim had prepared a homemade meal for her co-workers during a shared morning tea back in February. However, complications arose when the 58-year-old returned to consume the leftovers during lunch, noticing unusual bright green granules embedded in the food and experiencing an immediate numbness in her tongue upon tasting it.

Following a lengthy and thorough multi-month investigation by local detectives, a 43-year-old woman—who was reportedly in a relationship with the alleged victim—has been formally charged with endangering the life, health, or safety of another person. The accused individual is scheduled to appear in court on November 5 to face the serious allegations.

Investigators allege that the unnamed suspect visited a chemical storage shed before covertly returning to the staffroom where the curry was stored. After the suspicious meal was handed over to authorities, forensic testing identified the toxic substance as snail pellets containing metaldehyde. Commissioner Col Blanch remarked to the media that the poison carries a severe risk of major injury or death, expressing relief that the victim's vigilance averted a potential tragedy.
