Recent airstrikes across multiple regions of Ukraine have allegedly resulted in at least eight deaths and over 60 injuries, according to local officials. The attacks reportedly hit two shopping centers and severed power lines, plunging more than a million people into darkness.

In the eastern city of Kharkiv, strikes on three districts killed two individuals and wounded 12 others, regional governor Oleh Syniehubov claimed. Additional fatalities were reported in Kramatorsk and the Dnipropetrovsk region, while a drone attack in the northwestern Volyn region struck a food-processing facility and a customs terminal.

Ukraine's Ministry of Energy stated that repair crews worked to restore power to over a million affected households, though local authorities in cities like Lutsk warned that prolonged blackouts could persist for a full day or longer due to the extensive damage.

Meanwhile, the United Nations released figures indicating a sharp rise in civilian casualties across the country. Representatives from the UN human rights monitoring mission asserted that the first two weeks of the month ranked among the deadliest periods for civilians in years.
