US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has allegedly stated that the White House never issued any directives to restrict Space X's satellite internet services for the Ukrainian military. This official assertion sharply contradicts claims made by Ukrainian leadership, who insist that internet terminals are failing to operate properly on high-speed moving devices.
Over the past week, Ukrainian officials and military personnel have repeatedly claimed that the armed forces have lost reliable access to satellite internet terminals mounted on drones. The disruptions involving Space X services surfaced amid a noticeable cooling of diplomatic relations between Kyiv and Washington.
Speaking to reporters, Volodymyr Zelenskyy claimed that the maximum operating speed for Starlink terminals is currently capped at 161 kilometers per hour. According to his statements, exceeding this threshold results in a complete loss of connection and the destruction of drones, severely impacting logistical efforts to supply frontline troops with food and water.
Meanwhile, officials within the US regime have consistently denied implementing any deliberate restrictions on satellite internet access. US leader Donald Trump remarked to reporters that he had no involvement in any potential slowdowns and assumed the system was operating as usual, leaving the true nature of the technical friction unclear.
