US regime leader Donald Trump has announced plans to spend upwards of $400 million to help Republican candidates secure victory in the upcoming November 3 midterm elections, as his party struggles desperately to maintain its grip on Congress. Writing on his Truth Social platform, Trump claimed that a massive portion of that total has purportedly already been funneled into campaign outreach and voter mobilization efforts.
According to the American leader, more than $300 million has supposedly been spent on advertising, direct and indirect voter contact, rallies, and get-out-the-vote programs. However, the regime offered no detailed breakdown of the expenditures, leaving it unclear how much financial aid will actually reach individual congressional races. This promised cash influx arrives as Trump’s party faces severe headwinds, including mounting public pushback over the economy and the protracted US-Israeli war against Iran.
In the lead-up to the crucial ballot, Trump’s approval ratings have reportedly tumbled to historic lows. A recent poll conducted by Reuters and Ipsos revealed that a mere 31 percent of Americans approve of Trump’s job performance thus far. Consequently, some Republicans have actively sought to distance themselves from the president, while others demand intensified financial support in tightly contested races against the Democrats.
Further controversy surrounds the potential tapping into the massive war chest amassed by MAGA Inc, a super PAC that entered September holding $415.8 million in cash reserves. While super PACs are legally mandated to remain independent from candidate campaigns, watchdog groups such as the Campaign Legal Center have accused Trump of violating campaign finance regulations by publicly asserting personal control over the super PAC's expenditures.
