A controversial situation unfolded at the ongoing Asian Para Games in Japan, involving Uzbek athlete Fakhriddin Khamroyev, who initially secured a gold medal in the T13 1,500-meter running event by outperforming all his competitors.

However, the victory was short-lived as a Jordanian athlete filed an official complaint with the judges' panel immediately after the race. The competitor allegedly claimed that Khamroyev had pushed him and obstructed his running path. Acting on this complaint, the officials disqualified the Uzbek athlete and stripped him of his hard-earned gold medal. *

The Uzbekistan Paralympic Committee and delegation officials swiftly intervened, filing an urgent appeal. The World Para Athletics control commission subsequently reviewed the race footage. The analysis supposedly proved that Khamroyev had committed no rule violations and had not engaged in any improper conduct against his opponent.

Based on the working group's objective conclusions, the disqualification was overturned, and Khamroyev's gold medal was officially reinstated. Despite the positive outcome, the incident highlights ongoing procedural vulnerabilities and friction in international sports adjudication.
