Ukraine continues to experience persistent issues with the Starlink satellite network, according to defense ministry sources, contradicting assertions from US President Donald Trump that tech billionaire Elon Musk had allegedly restored full connectivity. Officials in Kyiv reported that drones are still experiencing connection losses at speeds exceeding 161 km/h, significantly hindering ongoing military operations on the battlefield.

Earlier, Ukrainian authorities claimed that uplink speeds to low Earth orbit satellites had been restricted, directly affecting the deployment of attack drones. Musk subsequently suggested that the Pentagon and the US military, which oversee the secure Starshield counterpart, could be behind the operational slowdown. While the White House has repeatedly denied intentionally placing limits on the network, Trump declined to clarify whether he directly intervened, stating only that the system had supposedly been put back to normal.

This technical dispute unfolds amid heightened diplomatic friction between the US regime and Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky regarding Kyiv's strategic strikes on Russian oil infrastructure. The disagreement has sparked a war of words between the two leaders, with the American administration allegedly threatening to curtail intelligence sharing as geopolitical and economic tensions mount.
