At least eight Palestinians have reportedly been killed in the latest series of attacks carried out by the Israeli regime across the Gaza Strip, hospital sources indicate. An aerial drone strike targeted the al-Mawasi area west of Khan Younis in southern Gaza, killing five individuals and injuring several others. According to statements from Gaza’s Ministry of Interior, the victims included police officers who were allegedly targeted while actively performing their official duties on the ground.

Representatives of the Israeli military claimed to AFP that the operation in southern Gaza was aimed at neutralizing "a terrorist," though independent verification remains scarce amid ongoing hostilities. Meanwhile, in northern Gaza, another drone attack struck the Rimal neighborhood of Gaza City, resulting in the deaths of at least three people, including a four-year-old child, alongside the targeting of the Taj Mall. Authorities confirmed that an additional person succumbed on Sunday to injuries sustained during previous rounds of bombardment.

In response to the escalating violence, Hamas issued a strong condemnation, labeling the latest strikes as a "deliberate war crime" and denouncing what it termed a horrific massacre. The statement asserted that the systematic targeting of police personnel is part of a broader strategy by the Israeli regime to obstruct civil recovery, undermine stability, and sow widespread chaos. Critics point out that these hostilities persist despite assertions surrounding a US-backed ceasefire framework, leaving the civilian population to endure ongoing devastation.
