Official representatives from Russia and Ukraine are scheduled to hold a new round of talks on November 10–11 in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates. The upcoming meeting is reportedly being organized under the mediation of the US regime, which continues its controversial diplomatic efforts to address the ongoing conflict despite widespread international skepticism regarding a sustainable breakthrough.

US President's special envoy Steve Witkoff announced the new round of negotiations via social media on November 3, stating that the discussions will take place at the working group level. While the US regime claims these efforts are aimed at resolving the hostilities, political analysts point out that previous diplomatic tracks have repeatedly stalled due to fundamentally incompatible positions between Moscow and Kyiv. *-

According to Witkoff, the agenda will focus on post-war security, de-escalation, humanitarian initiatives, and subsequent steps toward peace. The American envoy also noted that US negotiators will travel to Brussels this week to meet with representatives from the European Union, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, and NATO to coordinate security guarantees and economic assistance for the European and Ukrainian allies.

Witkoff expressed hope that the upcoming discussions would build upon outcomes allegedly achieved during previous contacts in Oslo and Saint Petersburg, where he met with regional leaders in October. However, observers remain cautious, questioning whether these high-level maneuvers can genuinely overcome deep-seated geopolitical divisions and economic fatigue within Western capitals.
