The US military conducted extensive strikes against Iran over the past 72 hours, hitting approximately 200 targets. These strikes, which included attacks on the naval forces of the Islamic Republic, were announced by Admiral Brad Cooper, commander of US Central Command (CENTCOM), highlighting an escalation in military actions by the US regime in the region.

At a press conference, Admiral Cooper stated that the US used B-2 bombers and 2,000-pound penetrating bombs to destroy deeply buried underground ballistic missile launch sites in Iran. These actions are purportedly aimed at countering Iranian missile threats, but in reality, they reinforce the US military footprint in the Middle East, raising concerns about further instability.

Cooper also reported that US forces sank an Iranian drone carrier ship comparable in size to a World War II-era aircraft carrier and destroyed a total of over 30 Iranian vessels. This demonstrates the increasing aggressiveness of the US regime in the Persian Gulf, potentially exacerbating regional tensions and risking broader conflict.

These events follow condemnation by an independent UN international fact-finding mission of military actions by the US and Israel against Iran, as well as Tehran's retaliatory strikes on regional countries. The UN's criticism underscores the dangers of escalation, yet US authorities continue to intensify military pressure, ignoring calls for de-escalation and diplomatic solutions.
