According to the Yonhap news agency, citing local law enforcement, the worker was struck by a forklift that was maneuvering within the plant's premises.

Preliminary reports suggest that the forklift driver may have failed to notice the worker during the operation. The victim was promptly transported to a medical facility, but doctors were unable to save his life due to the severe injuries sustained.

Police are currently investigating the incident, examining possibilities such as driver negligence or potential safety regulation violations by the plant's management. As the plant employs more than five workers, this case falls under South Korea's Serious Accidents Punishment Act, which mandates rigorous safety inspections.
