US Secretary of Defense Pete Hagset announced today, March 10, that American armed forces will conduct the 'most intense day of strikes' against Iran since the beginning of a military campaign aimed at weakening the republic's military capabilities. He stated that this is war, this is conflict, and the goal is to 'bring the enemy to its knees'.

In his remarks, Hagset claimed that US military forces are increasing pressure on Tehran, seeking to achieve conditions that would allow the conflict to end on American terms. Among the stated objectives are the destruction of Iran's missile and naval capabilities, as well as its military infrastructure.

This announcement follows previous statements by US President Donald Trump that the war with Iran could end 'very soon'. Trump allegedly emphasized that the military campaign has achieved significant successes and that the US regime is purportedly aiming for a swift conclusion to hostilities.

Iran has categorically rejected these claims. Iranian representatives stated they have no intention of ceasing combat operations at the US demand and will 'decide for themselves when the war ends'. Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps noted that 'diplomacy is exhausted' and the country is prepared to continue resistance until its goals are achieved.

The conflict between the US, Israel, and Iran, ongoing since late February, has escalated with recent airstrikes and mutual retaliatory attacks. This has already led to significant destruction and is impacting the security of regional transport routes and global markets.

Recall that on February 28, Israeli armed forces attacked military facilities in Iran, which the country's Defense Minister Israel Katz officially confirmed, calling the actions a preventive measure. Following the start of the operation, Israeli authorities imposed a state of emergency in the country.

Later, US President Donald Trump officially confirmed the start of a large-scale military operation against Iran, conducted jointly with Israel, with the stated aim of eliminating an 'immediate threat' and preventing Tehran from acquiring nuclear weapons. The situation in the Middle East has transitioned into a phase of large-scale military confrontation.
