Uzbekistan, Tashkent – Podrobno.uz. Details have been revealed about the project to build the modern "Yangi Jizzakh" ("New Jizzakh") town, spanning 40 hectares at the border of Jizzakh city and Sharaf-Rashidov district.

The "Yangi Jizzakh" project represents an urban model integrating housing, workplaces, and services in a single space.

The construction plan includes:

  • 50 apartment buildings with 1,200 units;
  • A general education school for 1,680 students;
  • A preschool institution for 280 children;
  • A clinic designed for 200 visits per shift;
  • A unified administrative building for 21 government agencies.

Transport infrastructure upgrades are planned: over 200 kilometers of roads will be renovated, including reconstruction of the "D-052" Dashtabad – Zaamin – Bakhmal – Gallaorol highway, 143 km of territorial roads, and 30 km of local roads. A 10-kilometer bypass road will be built to reduce congestion in the regional center. These projects are funded by the Islamic Development Bank.

With World Bank involvement, social facilities, drinking water, and electricity networks will be upgraded in 9 mahallas of Sharaf-Rashidov district. The capacity of Jizzakh's wastewater treatment plants will increase from 30,000 to 80,000 cubic meters per day. A chemical wastewater treatment plant with a capacity of 10,000 cubic meters will be constructed in the "Jizzakh" free economic zone, enabling industrial expansion without harming the environment.
