In Tashkent, officers from the Operational Investigation Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the State Security Service have detained individuals suspected of illegally buying and selling human organs and tissues.
It has been established that a previously convicted citizen born in 1989, acting in collusion with his spouse for profit, produced video materials designed to evoke sympathy and posted them on the internet and social media.
During operational activities, it was revealed that this citizen regularly participated in organizing illegal transplantation of human organs and tissues. Specifically, he was involved in arranging surgeries for certain individuals at the "Istiqlol" clinic in Tajikistan.
It was also determined that he personally performed kidney transplant operations and recruited others for this activity. They conducted their operations through social networks such as Telegram, Instagram, and YouTube, organizing advertising and searching for "clients."
In connection with this case, a criminal case has been initiated against the suspect under Article 133¹, Part 2 of the Criminal Code (Purchase and sale of human organs and/or tissues, committed by a group of persons). Detention has been chosen as a preventive measure.
