The Uzbekistan Super League is increasingly resembling a UEFA tournament, according to former head coach of Tashkent clubs Bunyodkor and Lokomotiv, Alexander Krestinin. He stated that financial conditions for Uzbek footballers play a significant role in this, as they are incomparable to what could be offered in European countries.

"Not all Uzbek footballers are ready to go to Europe now. The amounts they can earn at home are unlikely to be matched in places like Hungary, Belgium, or the Balkans," Krestinin told Eurasia Football portal.

He noted that this makes the tournament in Uzbekistan attractive for both local athletes and foreign legionnaires.

Previously, it was reported that football club Gazalkent made one of the key transfers ahead of the new season by signing winger Asilbek Abdurasulov. The 18-year-old player, a graduate of the Bunyodkor academy, is considered one of the promising players of his age. The deal amounted to 280 million Uzbek soums.
