LLC "Garden Catering Trade" supplies meals to state kindergartens in Fergana and Quvasoy cities. The firm, potentially linked to Quvasoy mayor Zafarbek Turakulov, was selected without a tender based on a decision by the regional mayor. Fergana doctor Muazzam Ibrohimova, the catering project author, had previously warned of such risks.

A mass poisoning of children occurred in several kindergartens in Fergana. Latest reports indicate over 70 children remain hospitalized.

The firm was chosen in July 2024 by a decision of Fergana region mayor Khayrulla Bozorov. The project initially started as LLC "Turan Catering International," with founders including a relative of Quvasoy mayor Elbek Juraev. Later, the firm operated as LLC "Garden Catering Trade," currently owned by Ikboljon Bozorov.

Under legislation, state procurements should be conducted through tenders, but catering services lack clear regulations. Officials may have exploited this loophole.

Muazzam Ibrohimova stated: "I warned about the possibility of this issue. Do not do business on children's meals. These individuals must be punished."
