St. Petersburg Governor Alexander Beglov presented an award to cleaner Khairullo Ibadullayev at Smolny for saving a child who fell from a window in the Petrogradsky district, according to the city administration's press service.
Ibadullayev received the "For Valor in Rescue" distinction for his courage and selflessness, along with a commemorative watch from the governor.
During the ceremony, Beglov thanked the man for his actions, noting that he saved the seven-year-old child's life without regard for his own safety, sustaining injuries.
Per the administration, Ibadullayev has been working in St. Petersburg since December 2025 as a manual labor specialist at a cleaning company.
