Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov announced that the republic has, for the first time in its history, established its own production facility for issuing the national currency, the som. Previously, banknotes were manufactured abroad, incurring additional costs for the country. Now, Kyrgyzstan is capable of not only fully meeting domestic demand but also fulfilling orders from other states, a move that could enhance economic sovereignty and reduce reliance on foreign suppliers.

Japarov noted that the country has received an international certificate confirming that the production of currency notes complies with necessary standards. This certification is crucial for ensuring product quality and building trust with international partners. The president also highlighted that Kyrgyzstan has organized the issuance of national documents, including civil passports, ID cards, driver's licenses, and vehicle technical passports, further expanding its domestic production capabilities.

The president emphasized that the republic is already receiving orders from other countries for both currency and state document production. He added that the level of product security meets high international requirements, making counterfeiting nearly impossible, while the cost of services remains competitive.
