Russian Defense Minister Andrey Belousov participated in a meeting of defense chiefs from Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member states.
According to him, Moscow considers attempts by non-regional states to establish a military presence and solve logistical tasks in Central Asia unacceptable.
“We are closely monitoring attempts by non-regional states to ensure military presence and solve logistical tasks in Central Asia. We consider this unacceptable,” Belousov said.
He also emphasized that Russia is seriously concerned about the situation in Syria, Lebanon, and Afghanistan, as well as the humanitarian catastrophe in the Gaza Strip.
