Tashkent, Uzbekistan – Podrobno.uz. Reports that trucks carrying bees from Uzbekistan went missing in Russia have been debunked. The Ural Customs Administration stated that the cargo was under control, all movements were officially documented and tracked, and claims of disappearance are false.
Earlier, media reported that two trucks with bees from Uzbekistan crossed the border and allegedly vanished in the Chelyabinsk region before reaching quarantine inspection. However, customs and transport police emphasized that no evidence of cargo loss or violations during transit was found.
In April, two trucks carrying bees from Uzbekistan did attempt to enter Russia through a checkpoint in the Chelyabinsk region. After document and veterinary checks, the Russian agricultural watchdog Rosselkhoznadzor denied entry. Following the refusal, the cargo was returned, and in early May, according to customs data, the same trucks arrived at a checkpoint in Kazakhstan and were redirected back toward Uzbekistan.
