The criminal case against former Chairman of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan, Kamchybek Tashiyev, has been transferred to the Pervomaisky District Court of Bishkek. Lawyer Ikramidin Aitkulov stated that the case materials are classified, and all court hearings will be held behind closed doors.

The former security chief faces charges of preparing for a violent seizure of power and abuse of office. A total of eight individuals are accused in this case.

Earlier, as part of the investigation conducted by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, former parliament speaker Nurlanbek Turgunbek uulu and ex-deputy Kurmankul Zulushev were also questioned. Currently, Tashiyev is under a written undertaking not to leave the country and not to disclose investigative data.

According to preliminary information, the investigation was prompted by the so-called "letter of 75," whose authors called for early presidential elections. Tashiyev, who was removed from his post in February, denies guilt and stated his intention to defend his interests strictly within the legal framework, urging his supporters to comply with the law.
