Social media reports of a tense situation at the Kaypas checkpoint on the Kyrgyz-Uzbek border have been addressed. The incident involved a conflict between Kyrgyz border guards and an Uzbek citizen, sparking public concern.

Initial posts claimed that queues were artificially created at the checkpoint and that a violent altercation occurred involving a resident of the Sokh district. However, official sources later stated that the situation was under control.

An investigation revealed a misunderstanding between Kyrgyz border service personnel and the Uzbek citizen. As a result of prompt measures, the citizen was escorted to Uzbek territory.

Subsequently, a dialogue was held with representatives from both sides and the citizen, leading to a peaceful resolution. Both parties confirmed that the misunderstanding had been resolved.

The official statement emphasized that unverified and one-sided information circulating on social media should be disregarded. Citizens were urged to rely only on confirmed data. It was also noted that the rights of Uzbek citizens are consistently protected by competent authorities.
