On June 21, as part of her visit to Astana, Saida Mirziyoyeva, head of the Administration of the President of Uzbekistan, met with President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

During the meeting, Mirziyoyeva conveyed sincere greetings and best wishes from President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

“Kazakhstan is not just a neighbor for us, but a close friend, reliable strategic partner and ally. I thank Kassym-Jomart Kemelevich for his warm welcome and commitment to further strengthening the bonds of friendship between our countries,” she wrote on her Telegram channel.

A separate meeting was held with Roman Sklyar, head of the Presidential Administration of Kazakhstan. The sides exchanged views on the current state and prospects for further development of Uzbek-Kazakh cooperation.

“We agreed to establish more flexible and effective mechanisms of interaction between the presidential administrations so that all agreements reached at the highest level are consistently implemented,” Mirziyoyeva emphasized.
