Divers have discovered the body of renowned Russian actor Alexander Vysokovsky in the Oka River in the Moscow region, according to TASS news agency.
The Main Investigative Directorate of the Russian Investigative Committee for the Moscow region has launched a pre-investigation check into the actor's death. Law enforcement received a report on June 30 that a man born in 1963 was fishing with his son near the Pushchino spit. At some point, he moved along the river current and did not return.
Earlier, media and Telegram channels had reported the actor's disappearance during fishing. Emergency workers from the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, search teams, and investigators from the Serpukhov investigative department worked at the scene.
Vysokovsky was 62 years old. He was best known for his role as Max Karelsky in the cult Russian TV series 'Brigada'. He also appeared in the film 'Bumer', the series 'March of Turetsky', and several other movies.
