A serious aviation incident occurred at Manas International Airport in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, leading to the temporary closure of the country's main air hub. During takeoff roll, the main landing gear tire of a McDonnell Douglas MD-83 aircraft operated by TezJet, which was scheduled to perform a domestic flight from Bishkek to Osh, burst.

The tire failure caused the aircraft to tilt sideways, prompting the crew to immediately abort the takeoff. All passengers on board were quickly evacuated via inflatable emergency slides. According to preliminary reports, there were no serious injuries, though a few people sustained minor bruises and abrasions.

As a result of the incident, Manas Airport temporarily suspended all arrivals and departures. Later, the airport's press service clarified that the air harbor would remain closed until 6:00 a.m. on July 8, and all scheduled flights had been rescheduled.

TezJet Airlines has been operating primarily domestic flights within Kyrgyzstan since 2013. Its fleet includes BAe 146-200 and McDonnell Douglas MD-83 aircraft, both of which have been out of production for many years.
