President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will participate in the opening ceremony of the international multi-sport tournament 'Games of the Future 2026' in Astana, a correspondent from Podrobno.uz reports from the Kazakh capital.

The event will also be attended by President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov and President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon. Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev will address the ceremony participants.

The competitions will take place from July 29 to August 9, featuring over 800 athletes from 34 countries. The tournament combines traditional and digital sports: participants first compete in a virtual space and then continue the contest on real-world platforms.

The program includes phygital disciplines (competitions merging classical sports and esports) — football, basketball, martial arts, and dance, as well as tournaments in Dota 2, Counter-Strike 2, PUBG: Battlegrounds, and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang.

Earlier, it was reported that Shavkat Mirziyoyev would visit Kazakhstan on a working trip at the invitation of Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
