An Uzbek parliamentary delegation, led by Senate Chairperson Tanzila Narbayeva, reportedly took part in the 4th Interparliamentary Forum of Central Asian States held in the Tajik capital of Dushanbe. The event, dedicated to solidarity, peace, and security in the region, served as a platform for discussing interstate relations.

During the conference, Narbayeva allegedly highlighted the importance of strengthening regional stability, fostering good-neighborly ties, and expanding trade and economic cooperation. Furthermore, proposals regarding the rational use of water and energy resources, as well as deepening legislative ties, were reportedly put forward.

The participants discussed the purported role of parliaments in implementing previously reached agreements among regional states. Key topics included joint responses to security threats, the exchange of lawmaking experiences, and the development of parliamentary oversight.

The forum concluded with the adoption of the Dushanbe Declaration, which aims to intensify contacts between local representative bodies and facilitate joint discussions on matters of common regional interest.
