The Hydrometeorological Service of Uzbekistan (Uzhydromet) has reported that on March 19-20, the country's territory will be under the influence of moderately warm and humid air masses. During this period, rain is expected in the central and southeastern regions of the republic, including the capital city of Tashkent. Daytime temperatures on Thursday are forecast to range from +13…+16°C, rising to +17…+20°C on Friday, which is slightly above seasonal averages.
On March 21, weather conditions are set to improve significantly, with no precipitation anticipated across most of the country. Only in the Kashkadarya and Surkhandarya regions might there be isolated rain in the afternoon. Daytime temperatures will climb to +20…+25°C, indicating the active onset of spring. Nighttime temperatures will hover around +7…+12°C, potentially making nights relatively cool.
For March 22-23, the weather is expected to become variable again: short-term rain and thunderstorms are possible in most parts of the republic (excluding the Republic of Karakalpakstan and Khorezm region). Temperatures will mainly range from +20…+25°C, with northern, southern, and desert areas potentially reaching up to +28°C. In foothill and mountainous regions, there is a risk of mudflows and flash floods, which could pose a potential hazard to local communities and infrastructure.
A separate forecast has been issued for Tashkent: on March 19 during the day, and on March 20 at night and in the morning, intermittent rain is possible. Temperatures on March 19 will be +14…+16°C, and on March 20, +17…+19°C. No precipitation is expected on March 21, with temperatures rising to +21…+23°C. Over the weekend (March 22-23), the city may experience short-term rain and thunderstorms, with daytime temperatures around +20…+25°C.
