A 38-year-old school director in the Yukori Chirchik district of the Tashkent region has been sentenced to five days of administrative arrest for sending sexually explicit messages to a minor girl via the Telegram messenger. The verdict was delivered by the criminal court on April 22.

During the court hearing, the legal representative of the victim, identified as B.K., stated that on April 16-17, the defendant J.I. sent various SMS messages of a sexual nature to her minor daughter S.E. through Telegram. The representative demanded a harsh punishment, arguing that the defendant was unfit for his position.

The defendant J.I. pleaded guilty, expressed remorse, and assured the court that such behavior would not be repeated, requesting leniency. However, the court rejected his plea for a lighter sentence.

The court found J.I. guilty of violating Article 41-1 of the Code of Administrative Responsibility (Sexual Harassment) and sentenced him to five days of administrative detention. The sentence is to be served starting from April 22, 2026.

Additionally, the court ordered J.I. to pay 309,000 Uzbek soms to cover the costs of his detention in a special facility. The case has sparked public concern about ethical standards among educational staff in Uzbekistan.
