Officers from the Department under the General Prosecutor's Office in the Asaka district, in coordination with other law enforcement agencies, conducted an operational operation.

It was established that citizen M.Ch. promised to send citizens A.I. and B.Kh. on a Hajj pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia for $18,000.

He was caught red-handed while receiving $9,000 of the agreed amount.

A criminal case has been initiated under Article 168 (fraud) of the Criminal Code, and investigative actions are underway.

Previously, the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan had urged citizens not to fall for scammers' tricks when organizing Hajj trips.
