In the Turtki podcast, conversations with well-known personalities continue. This time, the guest was journalist Nilufar Umrzokova, who spoke openly about honesty in journalism, times when she had to seek additional income, and the choice between family and profession.
According to her, at one point her salary was not enough to cover her child's education and daily needs, so she started a business.
'Recently, something happened. We shoot many programs in colonies. I go there often. One prisoner's mother fell seriously ill. Relatives approached me: 'We beg you, arrange for him to be released for at least one night; his mother is on her deathbed.' They offered big money — $10,000, a car. But it's illegal. I didn't even ask anyone. I didn't tell anyone. Such things happen in life. Big money is attractive. But you realize — it's wrong. It's illegal. It's dishonest. You stop there. That's it,' the journalist shared.
In the podcast, Nilufar Umrzokova also shared thoughts on strong women, how she started a business to pay for her child's education, and important turning points in her journalism career.
During the conversation, you will learn exclusive details about the person behind the camera, the choices, pressure, and awareness that accompanied the journalist whose programs have become part of every home.
