A serious traffic accident involving a truck and several cars occurred in the city of Angren, Tashkent region. According to the regional police department, the incident took place on April 26 at around 11:10 PM on the 93rd kilometer of the A373 highway.

The driver of a Howo truck, born in 1995 (identified as R.N.), lost control while driving and crashed into four vehicles traveling in the same direction. The impact caused severe damage to multiple cars.

As a result, the 51-year-old driver of a Sobalt car, I.X., and a 40-year-old passenger, Z.T., died at the scene. Four other people from the remaining vehicles sustained injuries of varying severity and were taken to a medical facility.

The Investigation Department under the Tashkent Regional Police has initiated a criminal case under Article 266, Part 3, Clause 'a' of the Criminal Code. The truck driver has been detained in a procedural manner. He himself was not injured in the crash.

Investigative actions are underway to determine the exact cause of the accident. Preliminary reports suggest the truck driver may have been speeding or fatigued.
