Uzbekistan, Tashkent – AN Podrobno.uz. The Khorezm region is set to implement a large-scale program to protect cultural heritage. This was announced by the head of the Presidential Administration, Saida Mirziyoyeva, following an inspection of key historical monuments in Khiva.
The visit covered the main attractions of the Ichan-Kala museum-reserve, including the Toshhovli Palace, the Kunya-Ark citadel, and the famous madrasahs of Muhammad Amin-inak and Muhammad Amin-khan. During discussions of the master plan for the city's historical center, emphasis was placed on shifting from routine repairs to deep museification—creating modern educational and tourism spaces based on the monuments.
The main goal of the new program is to preserve national identity and the region's unique architectural monuments. The implementation of the master plan is expected not only to preserve the historical appearance of Ichan-Kala but also to transform heritage sites into modern educational and tourism centers.
