Uzbekistan's First Lady and Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the Zamin Foundation, Ziroat Mirziyoyeva, made a working visit to the Khorezm region. The trip focused on inclusive education and environmental upbringing of youth, covering specialized educational institutions in Urgench and historical sites in Khiva.

In Urgench, Mirziyoyeva visited specialized boarding school No. 96 for hearing-impaired children. Students showcased their achievements at a handicraft fair and robotics competitions. The Zamin Education classroom presented a system for preparing high school students for university admission. Additionally, a platform for implementing International Inclusive Hub methodologies was introduced at the youth creative center, aimed at developing vocational education for people with special needs.

The highlight of the visit was the ceremonial raising of the Green Flag in Khiva – the main international symbol of the Eco-schools Uzbekistan project. Following an audit by the Zamin Foundation, 30 schools in the region received official recognition for outstanding achievements in environmental education. Mirziyoyeva congratulated the students, calling them true defenders of nature whose contributions bring the country closer to achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

As part of the environmental celebration, schoolchildren attended master classes by leading chefs and nutritionists on the basics of balanced nutrition. The FAO Representation in Uzbekistan presented new methodological developments that will serve as the basis for national training programs. These healthy eating standards are planned to be introduced in all general education institutions across the country for teachers, students, and school canteen staff.
