The Department of Public Safety of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MVD) has launched an investigation after social media posts circulated alleging illegal actions by a patrol-post service officer towards a minor girl.
According to information released by the victim's relatives, the incident occurred on the night of April 28 in the city of Akhangaran, Tashkent region. The 14-year-old girl stated that while sitting with friends on a bench near her home around 9:00 PM on April 27, a Daewoo Spark car pulled up.
“Yesterday, April 27, at about 9:00 PM, we were sitting on a bench near the house. A Spark pulled up and told us to get in. I refused because I didn’t want to, but he rudely ordered me to get in. I thought he was a police officer and wouldn’t do anything to me,” she said.
According to the girl, the man then drove them to a remote area. “After I got in the car, he took us to some distant mountainous area, turned off the engine, and started harassing us. Then my brother saw the geolocation and arrived there. Recently, that man wrote to me, asked my name and how I was, and tried to hit on me again,” the girl stated.
The girl's brother, 18-year-old Artyom, reported that the car had license plate 10 R077MB and that, according to him, a patrol officer was behind the wheel. “An Uzbek patrol officer was with my 14-year-old sister in the mountains in a car at 1:00 AM. I don’t know what they were doing. I ask for your help to spread this story. This is mind-boggling. The girl is only 14,” he said.
Artyom claimed the incident took place “in a mountainous area behind the cement plant in Akhangaran.” He also stated that he recorded video and a phone conversation in which the man allegedly threatened him. “The officer says, 'Where are you, I will find you and punish you.' Please, help me out of humanity,” the young man said.
Artyom further alleged that during the confrontation, the man injured his hand. “While we were filming, I tried to open his car door, and he stabbed something into my hand. This is pedophilia committed by a police officer. I ask you to stop this. This is not normal. It must be prevented. I ask you to punish him fully under the law, even doubly, because he is a policeman. He should not break the law but protect it,” the girl's brother said.
He also published photos from Instagram of the suspected officer, identified as Diyor.
The Department of Public Safety of the MVD confirmed that an investigation has been launched. According to the department, the probe is being conducted jointly by the MVD's own security unit and the prosecutor's office. “All participants and details of the incident have been identified. The officer mentioned in the reports has been suspended from duty. If the stated facts are confirmed, his actions will receive a strict legal assessment, including possible criminal prosecution,” the statement said.
The ministry emphasized that illegal actions by internal affairs officers, especially against minors, are “absolutely unacceptable and will lead to decisive measures.”
The MVD promised to provide further information on the results of the investigation and asked citizens to rely only on official data.
