Social media was flooded with a video showing a daylight assault in Denau, Surkhandarya region, where a father and son were beaten, knocked unconscious, and forcibly put into a car.

The footage shows three men talking, then one is struck from behind and falls, while another is beaten by two men and forced into a vehicle. Later, the man who regained consciousness is also put into the car.

The regional police department reported that the incident occurred on April 27 at around 5:50 PM near a car wash in the Bogishamol neighborhood.

According to preliminary data, 56-year-old A.U. and his 30-year-old son A.A. sustained bodily injuries from a relative, 35-year-old Q.Sh., and his three accomplices: 27-year-old X.Sh., 28-year-old T.Sh., and T.Sh.

After the beating, the suspects transferred the victims into a Gentra car and drove away from the scene. The conflict was reportedly triggered by a financial dispute.

Due to severe injuries, the son was hospitalized in the district medical association, but despite medical assistance, he died in the hospital on April 28.

According to Kun.uz, the incident was orchestrated by a known violent offender in Denau nicknamed "Shakki." It is alleged that he and his accomplices took the young man away and beat him to death.

The Denau district police have opened a criminal case under Article 104, Part 2, clauses "k" and "e" of the Criminal Code (intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm by a group of persons out of hooliganism). Four men have been arrested in procedural order.
