On April 29, videos of a large fire began circulating on social media in Tashkent, with eyewitnesses reporting a column of thick smoke visible from various parts of the city.
Initially believed to be in the Bektemir district, the capital's Fire Safety Department clarified the location. The fire occurred in a warehouse on the Tashkent Ring Road in the Yashnabad district.
According to the press service of the Tashkent Emergency Situations Department, the alarm was received at 17:05. The first firefighting units arrived at the scene just three minutes later, at 17:08. Fire crews are currently working to extinguish the blaze.
The department stated that the situation is fully under control. Information on the fire's area and possible causes will be provided later as details are clarified.
