A 31-year-old man died in a hospital in Uzbekistan's Surkhandarya region after being beaten and kidnapped by relatives over a financial dispute. A criminal case has been opened, and four suspects have been arrested and detained.

The tragedy occurred on April 27 in the Bogishamol mahalla of Denau district. According to law enforcement, a long-standing financial conflict between relatives escalated into a fight. During the altercation, a 36-year-old man and three of his acquaintances inflicted bodily harm on a 55-year-old citizen and his 31-year-old son, then forcibly took them away in a Gentra car.

The following day, the younger victim died in the district hospital from his injuries. The case has been classified under Article 104, Part 2 of the Criminal Code ('Infliction of grievous bodily harm resulting in death'). All four attackers are currently in custody.

Earlier, a resident of Asaka district in Andijan region filed a complaint with the police about a kidnapping and beating. According to him, four acquaintances forcibly took him to an unfinished house and severely beat him.
