A video circulating on social media shows a female teacher repeatedly punching a young girl in the head at a private kindergarten in the Urgut district of Samarkand region, Uzbekistan.

According to the Samarkand Regional Department of Preschool and School Education, the incident occurred at the Madina Ko‘zmunchoq private kindergarten, which has been operating under a license since 2019 and currently educates 147 children in six groups.

An investigation confirmed that on April 20, the teacher of the middle group physically assaulted the child. On April 23, her employment contract was terminated by order of the kindergarten director.

The case materials have been handed over to law enforcement agencies for further investigation.

The department emphasized that any form of violence in educational institutions is unacceptable and assured that such cases are under special oversight.

This incident follows a similar case in Navoi, where a criminal case was opened against a private kindergarten teacher who systematically abused children. The investigation was triggered by a video that went viral on April 8, showing rough treatment and beatings of toddlers.
