️ Uzbekistan's Energy Minister Jurabek Mirzamakhmudov has filed a complaint with the internal affairs authorities requesting a legal assessment of posts by financier and blogger Otabek Bakirov. Bakirov himself disclosed this information.
️ According to Bakirov, after a previous request to initiate a criminal case was rejected, the minister filed a complaint on December 26, 2024, against several serial posts published on the blogger's Telegram channel. On January 23, 2026, the Tashkent City Internal Affairs Department refused to open a criminal case, but on March 25, the Tashkent City Prosecutor's Office overturned that decision. The case has now been transferred to the Yashnobod District Internal Affairs Department.
️ Bakirov stated that the complaint concerns objections to the Avto24 app, which allegedly provides information about the availability of gas at methane filling stations and queues. It also involves posts about gas and electricity supply disruptions in the Tashkent region.
️ The blogger noted that the complaint pertains to posts published about a year and a half ago. He emphasized that the problem of electricity supply interruptions still persists.
️ Otabek Bakirov is a well-known financier and public figure who actively participates in discussions on economic issues. He publishes analytical materials and critical opinions, including on the energy sector, on his Telegram channel Bakiroo.
