A tragic incident of domestic violence has shaken the city of Shirin in Sirdaryo region, where a woman allegedly stabbed and killed the legal wife of her husband and her five-year-old daughter. The press secretary of the General Prosecutor's Office, Hayot Shamsutdinov, confirmed the event.
According to reports, on April 29 at approximately 17:00, a quarrel erupted between a woman identified as N.X. and her religious husband A.S. over jealousy. Following the argument, N.X. allegedly took a kitchen knife from her mother's house and went to a home in the Farhod neighborhood, where the legal wife of her husband resided.
At the scene, she allegedly inflicted severe stab wounds on M.S. and her two minor children, Sh.S. and I.S. As a result, M.S. and her five-year-old daughter Sh.S. died from their injuries. The second child, a three-year-old girl, was hospitalized in critical condition at the Shirin City Medical Association.
The suspect fled the scene but was later apprehended and officially named as a suspect with a defense lawyer present. Relatives of the deceased told Kun.uz that M.S. left behind an eight-year-old son and a 20-day-old infant.
On April 29, the regional prosecutor's office opened a criminal case under Article 97, Part 2, clauses 'a', 'v', and 'j' of the Criminal Code (premeditated murder). Investigative actions are currently underway.
