The National Central Bureau of Interpol in Uzbekistan has announced the extradition of four Uzbek citizens from the United Arab Emirates and Georgia, who were on the international wanted list.

Three of them were placed on the international wanted list at the initiative of Uzbek law enforcement agencies: two are accused of fraud, and the third is charged with crimes related to human trafficking. They fled to the UAE after committing the crimes.

Operational search activities via Interpol channels led to the identification of their whereabouts, and they were apprehended with the assistance of the National Central Bureau of Interpol in Abu Dhabi. Their transfer was carried out within the framework of cooperation and legal mechanisms between the national central bureaus in Tashkent and Abu Dhabi.

In another case, a Uzbek citizen accused of large-scale fraud and placed on the wanted list was located and detained in Georgia. This was the result of joint operations with the National Central Bureau of Interpol in Tbilisi.

After the Georgian Ministry of Justice granted the request of the Uzbek Prosecutor General's Office, the individual was extradited and brought to Tashkent escorted by Interpol officers.

All detainees will be prosecuted in accordance with the law. The National Central Bureau of Interpol emphasized that hiding abroad does not exempt from liability.

Previously, Uzbek citizens wanted internationally were extradited from Bahrain and the United States. One was suspected of fraud, and the other of large-scale theft.
