A 48-year-old man has been arrested and sentenced to 15 days of administrative detention for committing an indecent act on a public bus in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

The incident occurred on the morning of June 3 on bus route No. 42. According to eyewitnesses, the man engaged in self-gratification in the presence of other passengers, including women and children. He only stopped after a female passenger began recording the incident on her phone.

The suspect was detained by police officers. Administrative charges were filed against him for petty hooliganism and failure to comply with lawful demands of law enforcement officials.

The case was sent to the criminal court of Almazar district, which imposed the maximum penalty of 15 days of administrative arrest.

Previously, a man who committed a series of indecent acts in a public place also received 15 days of administrative detention. It was revealed during the proceedings that the offender was a choir artist at the Navoi Theater.
