A video circulating on social media shows a road rage incident in Tashkent's Uchtepa district, where a male driver is seen verbally abusing a woman who is recording him, attempting to snatch her phone, and lunging at her.
According to the Tashkent City Main Internal Affairs Department, the incident occurred on June 8 on Haqiqat Street. A 41-year-old Nexia 3 driver, identified as M.Sh., and a 34-year-old woman, T.F., got into a dispute over a traffic disagreement. The male driver then used obscene language in public, deliberately violating public conduct rules.
An administrative protocol was drawn up against M.Sh. under Article 183 (Petty Hooliganism) of the Code of Administrative Responsibility. The district criminal court sentenced him to 15 days of administrative arrest.
“I dropped my daughter off at kindergarten. I was slowly reversing. This man was speeding on a street with two kindergartens. I got out to see what I did wrong. When I reversed, he had a lane to pass… He swore worse, grabbed my phone and wouldn't give it back… I've been shaking since morning, I can't recover,” the woman testified in court.
The woman was also issued a protection order. “I apologize. This won't happen again. I will behave respectfully, control my anger at home, and learn to go out properly,” the driver said.
