In the Marhamat district of Andijan region, on June 30, a 16-year-old girl jumped into the South Fergana Canal and was swept away by the current. The incident occurred on the canal flowing along Nodirabegim Street in the 'Ershi' neighborhood.
Following a swift search operation, the girl's body was found on July 1 in a section of the South Fergana Canal in the Toshloq district of Fergana region. This was reported on the 'Millar' program.
According to the Prosecutor General's Office, a pre-investigation check is underway. The reasons for the suicide remain unknown at this time.
Earlier, a 17-year-old boy drowned while swimming in the Shohrud canal in the Kogon district of Bukhara. His body was found after a day-long search by rescuers and locals.
